The commentator today said that Cole Palmer is apparently unhappy at Chelsea because he is homesick. No idea if this is true but would it be worth it for us to look into this or is he say out of our league?

We would be down near the bottom of a long list of clubs looking to sign him
Although if he wanted to move back to the northwest it would be worth making an enquiry
He probably has a 20 yr deal at Chelsea and would cost close to 100m

I genuinely didnt know he got on the pitch! It was only when I saw the highlights on MOTD that I saw him at the end.

Agreed, but we probably need a quality replacement for Gana Gueye as well next season (or a new ACM if we move KDH next to Garner). Harrison Armstrong is not at that level yet and Tim lacks quality to be a regular. Someone mentioned Alex Scott, good option imo.

Dont get me wrong, i have my question marks over Delap, even when he was being touted from Ipswich, but I'd have him over Barry (again i know that is not a reason to sign someone)

Delap would be no upgrade on what we have. If we signed him, we’d be in the same position next summer in needing a competent striker.

He had a good season at Ipswich, nothing more nothing less. His history to then was very poor.

Avoid - no where near the standard we currently require and certainly miles short of where the club is going.

Fair on the first point. Yep, generally not convinced on Delap either tho.

Someone was saying a while back that he would suit DM’s direct style - but we’ve not being playing very direct for much of this season.

Funnily enough all the goals on Saturday came from pretty direct counterattacks, so maybe we should get back to that idk. In which case he might work.

Personally don't think we're going to crack on to top 4 with TFG owning 2 clubs. Won't have the money of the Citys / Liverpools / to play with or for the attractive transfer offers of the £50m's to £70m's Both TFG's clubs are / will be floating around Top 6, but think they need to put all their eggs in one basket for that top 4. Hopefully us!

Just think hard to ever do that now tbh think can compete like villa have but just tough with how much the top clubs make. Think this summer will be massive for tfg to show what the club is aiming for. Esp with the club being in such a better place
