I think we were interested in January. Depending on where we finish I could see us being back in for him in the summer. I'm guessing his wage demands will be huge though.

That’d be a statement and a half.

He’s a brilliant player. He had some terrific moments yesterday, in a sea of averageness from Chelsea as a whole.

I can’t see it, though. Unless we do the miraculous and scoop a CL spot.

I’m okay with topping up the ranks with cheap, experienced players.

We can’t only buy promising 20 year olds that might be consistent first-teamers in 2 or 3 seasons.

Only time will tell if last year's buys were good value - KDH looks the only one right now.

But it does look like getting rid of Thelwell was hasty.

I know Maupay was a total dud but Ndiaye, Garner, O'Brien, McNeil, Tarkowski, IGG for £60m is very, very good.

Yeah probably out of our league but would love him here, also the lad Scott of Bournemouth looks a player had a excellent game against Utd the other night, maybe a little more attainable but would still cost a pretty penny.

But honestly, I was just wondering (dreaming) a bit because of what the commentator said. If he indeed is homesick and wants to move back to the Manchester/Liverpool area we might as well give it a shot. Maybe the topguns won't be interested. He is probably way out of our league though.

He's a £100m+ player who would want CL football every single year.
