Summer transfer window.

I think he’s a good player and on a free it’s a good deal,
The issue is, if Moyes wants Grealish as well and we’re giving long expensive contracts to 2 players 31 and 29. Also he’s another player who’s more technical and less speed
Rather have a top class Grealish than a load of crap younger players. I’d rather spend the money on Grealish over what we’ve spent on Alcaraz, Dibling and Barry.

Why ? I don’t think we need the money when we will be selling 4 or 5 fringe players. I like Grealish but I think Ndiaye is much better off the left
He's 26 and this summer might be his best shot at getting a bumper contract at a CL club that has him playing at the top level for the last ~4 years of his peak. Can hardly begrudge him that considering that's the level of player he is and we're probably at LEAST 3 years away from that even if everything goes amazingly well. Player's careers are short and they only get one chance.

We don't need the money no, but all that really means is we can happily say no until our evaluation is met. If someone comes in with a £65m offer or whatever, I'd be very surprised if we didn't at least get around the table.

Arguably if we get Conference League we can say look, stay one more year, win us a trophy, leave a hero next summer.

Hopefully it all comes together.

That video on him was interesting tho - I never realised that OM was his team.

And given how things went there, he may be happier to stay put if it’s working for him here.

I think that's a really good analysis.
Obviously I / we don't want to sell him but must acknowledge that there is a possibility, perhaps strong possibility that an offer will.be forthcoming that maybe attractive to both Everton and Illiman

If these Americans have got the dough they say they have.

Sad to say this but I wouldn't be surprised if N'dayie is sold this summer

Alot depends on us signing Grealish & George + of course Europe.

Grealish, Ndiaye, Dibling & George has a nice balance.

I think Moyes may be content to bank e.g £70mil from Ndiaye and bring Wilson in on a free or Bowen if West Ham go down.

If we got europe and west ham went down i wouldnt put it past Moyes to try for:

Grealish, Bowen, Wilson, Ndiaye as the wide options.

Again, depends on a number of factors one being George's impact this season and whether Dibling can be moved into the 10.

Really cant see Ndiaye leaving if we have Europe.

What happens a couple of seasons down the line when those players are all 35 and you don't have any good young players ready to step up.

Exactly and this is why there has to be a balance.

I'm all for signing Bowen for example, just as I was bringing in Tarkowski.

But it has to be balanced with a young player.

For example using my above post,

Grealish/George
Ndiaye/Dibling

Absolutely ideal on paper.

If we miss out on Europe and then he goes and has a good world cup and is one of the stand out players Id be very surprised if he is still here at the start of next season. I fully expect there to be offers in for him in the summer.

Also clubs do need to buy and sell players, they need to be self sufficient, TFG won't keep putting money in forever mate, there always will be an element of sell to buy and recycling players, that's why it helps to have a healthy youth setup so that even the young lads not good enough for first team may still be good enough for a league abroad or the Championship and we can make money from them.

And what happens when he understandably says I'm a Champions League level player, I've only got a few years left at my peak, that's the level I want to play at? Holding players hostage doesn't end well. It's not like he's a boyhood blue or something.
