Summer transfer window.

Moyes did seem to speak alot about him, but i can't remember him ever going past just bigging up his Athleticism, rather than his actual ability.
Yeah that and also was a previous target under thelwell that moyes has agreed to to back for this season. So would like to think he has plans got him not just for his athleticism. Is another position i feel again we need to look to improve on, feel again nearly every position we need to look at.

first priority is a half decent forward as that’s what will cost us Europe this year.

Just Imagine if we do get Europe with the worst CF’s in the league, the mind boggles what we could have done with a 15/20 goal striker.

The best striker in the world isn’t scoring 15/20 as a lone unsupported striker in a Moyes team.

We don’t score many because we aren’t set up to create chances & we don’t support the striker either with numbers forward or with runners into the box.

I'm not sold at all on the idea that our forwards are terrible, or indeed "the worst CF's in the league". We're just not a team that is set up to offer too many chances for our lone striker. Obviously, a better striker would score a couple more goals and perhaps take pressure off of the rest of the team but the idea that a new forward, without a change in both our style of play and personnel in other positions, would score considerably more goals than Barry or Beto seems fanciful to me.

I kind of still can't believe people can watch us this season and think that we could have had a '15/20 goal striker'. Is that striker scoring 10/15 goals by dribbling from midfield by themselves and slotting?

You could have the reincarnation of Pele in this squad and still would not get to the 20 goal scoring tally. Under this system, that will never work.

Yobo played in midfield so did Hietinga. He played 250 games for shef Utd , he didn’t play the majority in midfield. And in his last season at shef Utd in tbe prem he was down as a CB and wore number 6. We were buying a defender not a midfielder

His first games under Moyes he was deployed as a CDM and had a couple of very bad games and I remeber thinking we have bought a dud

Moved to CB and the rest was history
