I have to admit I always liked Weghorst.
Saying that I always liked Maupay.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say a Maupay - Weghorst attack could gel with the right service.

He isn’t good enough to operate as a target man in the Premier League, he’s proven that in two spells at Burnley and United.

I think if you look at his time in Germany Vs his time in the England, its like 2 different players. In the german league he was a 20 plus goals a season player for 3 seasons, then at Burnley and Man utd hes scored 4 goals in 2 season.

You could say Burnley didnt create a lot, Man Utd hardly played to his strengths, but the fact is he may not actually be any good, at premier league level.

Ten Hag was using him as a #10 in some instances, the crazy Dutchman. I’d be fine with him as a backup if he’s cheap. I just suspect the wouldn’t be.

Back when Weghorst was in Germany or Maupay was in the Championship - you'd be forgiven for taking a gamble to see if they could adapt to the PL.

It's a bit odd to still be thinking of taking that gamble when you can see exactly how they fit in the PL - and it isn't that impressive.
