Could we get milinkovic savic……i know it sounds silly…but I ready he is looking for a big last contract of £6mill net a season…..which is around £200k per week.!!!!!

A lot of teams want him and, given his age, he probably doesn't even know who we are.

Yeah I hear he's ready to reject a whole host of European big boys to achieve his lifelong ambition of playing on the same hallowed turf as his heroes Mark Pembridge and Scott Gemmill, plus I hear his sueprmodel missus has always dreamed of living in a semi-detached in Bootle with a lovely view of the Aldi.

With Coady and Mina leaving, our defence is in an absolute shocking state that will not keep us in the Premier League without serious investment. Tarkowski is okay, but every other defender is absolutely awful and way off premier league standard.

Sorting our defence out is now just as, if not more important, than improving our attack.

Begovic and Longeran must be nigh-on 40 years old. Who cares if they leave (Begovic alone would have been about £20-40k p/w on the wage bill). Whats the point in bringing in Virginia and Crelin and never making them part of the squad. Add in the Harry Tryer lad as well. It may not be the most costly situation at the club, but still a scattergun mashup of GK options.

1 first choice, 1 backup and a decent youth prospect playing in the U21s who can step up to the bench if required. That is all we really need. We're playing once a week for fudge sake, we don't need 5 or 6 on the books. (Dare I say we might be showing a bit of common sense for once).

Clearly there’s no mutually-acceptable middle ground upon which to agree a deal.
