What is this, a club refusing to sell a key player until they have a replacement in? Pfft, no need for that sort of behaviour.

BONY UPDATE

Manchester City have reached agreement with Swansea over Wilfried Bony, SSN understands.

The player is expected to make his way to South Wales later today for a medical.

We understand the deal for Fernando Llorente to join Tottenham won’t be officially completed until the Bony deal to Swansea is concluded.
That's how you conduct your transfer business. You get a replacement striker in before you sell your star striker..

So.... Right my conspiracy theory evertonians (A) were are still trying........
(B) it's sell to buy.........
(C) were pretending..... lol
(D) we are waiting for him jim white to come on air........

He's our god damn saviour; he'll be the one to bag that consolation goal at the pit

Really disappointed with our transfer business July onwards. Everyone knew we needed a striker but for some odd reason we did a classic Everton and are panicking once again on deadline day, not being able to land any of our preferred targets. We've been linked with so many strikers this past couple of weeks but either have run out of money or its simply bad business conducted by the club that includes Walsh, Koeman and the board. Now in the final few hours we'll be looking to add anyone we can get our hands on like Valencia, even if it means option E like Lucaz Perez on loan.

Boss window the first half, bottled in window in the 2nd half. Not being able to offload Barkley and Mccarthy is another issue.

While the lack of a striker is disappointing, who would you have wanted us to sign? I haven't seen anyone move that I felt we missed out on. The only top 6 quality PL strikers mentioned were Benteke and Giroud. I don't think CP would even think about selling Benteke and Giroud would have been ideal but he seems to have decided to stay at Arsenal, nothing we can do about that.

Everyone else is unproven or below the quality we need. I'd rather not get someone than bringing in someone not up to our standard just to do something.

Jamie Weir brings us up to date with the latest Spurs transfer news, and it looks like they will try and sign Ross Barkley before the window slams shut tonight.

“I’ve just heard from a very reliable source that Tottenham are still in contact with Everton’s Ross Barkley and they may be about to make a bid and, indeed, may even have already made a bid. If they manage to snatch two players from under Chelsea’s noses, then Spurs fans will be delighted.”
