Gomes- doesn’t work in 2 man system
JPG- played 1 1/2 games
Davies- poor physically, poor technically, fell off the progression curve of his age group

Goals coming out wide due playing with 2 compact banks of 4 to prevent teams attacking through the middle leaving our outside mids and fullbacks isolated in 1v1 situations. Sidibe is great defensively when defending with the team but isolate him and he’s as bad as Cuco.

Going back to Chelsea 3/4 goals were the fault of the CMs/CBs

lol you're going back on ignore just for this sentence alone.

Ignore me it’s not like you’re going to hurt my sensitive feelings :coffee: but you can’t ignore his stats: highest interceptions and tackles per 90 on the team with the worst defensive duel rate or the defenders

This.

Want a new rb, cb that's not Keane, creative cm, gk, lw.

Unfortunately we always tend to have this mindset that our first choice goalkeeper is a god and therefore untouchable, so pickford is safe. Our midfield would have to be nearly the weakest in the prem at times.

Stop wasting money on player like sidibe and giving contracts to Coleman etc, I know they haven’t yet but they will
Sidibe could be a good RM/RWB option for us. Offers something unique in the way he goes forward (crossing from deep, early crosses, non crosses in the final 3rd played towards the top of the box) and provides better defensive coverage than most to all RMs/RWs in the league. Pair him with someone like Atal who runs the wide channel endlessly and makes runs high up the pitch and we could have something special.

So what position should he play, cause it ain’t RW or RB....

He's been awful at RM. Like many good attacking full backs, he thrives on the space afforded to him when coming forward from deep. His all round game is nowhere near good enough to play RM.

If Sidibie is retained, it'll be because it's easier than finding someone better.

There's no other way to justify it after the season he's had.

how about he’s a better crosser of the ball than Coleman who chips to no one?

how about he’s quicker than Coleman?
