Well in that case another player I'd take from the teams below us (who could go down) would be Bertrand. Mawson and Bertrand and then after that look for players in that same bracket as Tosun who have that Champions League pedigree but sit in that sweet spot where they may still be attracted by the Premier League.

Maybe even the odd player from one Shaktar Donetsk would fit that bill...

Bernard is on a free, I’d imagine he’d have quite a few teams after him. Probably would need Fonseca to have any chance.


I like Bertrand, but Southampton would want a fortune. Unless he has relagation clause. I wouldn’t mind shaw, he has a year left and Jose wants him gone apparently. I think he has a lot of talent just needs to play regularly. He probably would be cheaper than Bertrand and the lad from Celtic.

Barring a miracle Koln are likely to get relegated as well so will probs have a few looking to leave. Hector, Horn (pants this season), Heintz, Mere, Bittencourt, Osako all decent.

Bertrand is surely first choice left back, especially if Southampton go down. In his prime, proven international, will already know some of our players and is a decent player to boot.

There absolutely is. I’d take Bertrand from Saints, Butland/Allen from Stoke (not arsed what anyone says, Joe Allen is a good player), and Chadli off West Brom. People say we should be aiming higher etc, but our squad is full of absolute guff, and these boys can all play.



Definitely, him or Bertrand would slot straight in. Id have Wilshere off Arsenal too anyday, big upgrade on Davies.

When will people learn. On paper, some of these players look OK. When they get relegated, their confidence gets shot. For once can we sign some players that aren't in the mental doldrums of having been relegated or in a relegation battle? The last two signings (I.e. Champions league players) have already kicked us on massively..

Luke Shaw all day long for me. Just needs a run of games and a manager to believe in him.

Recently when Young was injured/ suspended he came in and had a few really good games.

Even if fitness is a question mark with him, it’ll be remedied by him playing every week anyway

I'd def take Ward-Prowse and Bertrand from Southampton once they're relegated. Obviously would take nobody from WBA. Seeing as WHU will be the third team, any pickings to be had from them? Off the top of my head can't think of anybody.
