Succession Planning - Managerial Wishlist

Couldn't care less about him being a dirty ex RS he'd be brilliant here but he'd not entertaining us lets be honest
That's what I mean, he would never consider us even if the Friedkins get the house in total order and wanted to seriously invest. His alliegience to them will always mean he won't want to take any PL job in the North-West. Think Newcastle or Spurs should make a run at him though.

He was the highest rated young coach in the world before Real so I doubt he'd even entertain Tottenham either. He'll probably rest for the rest of the season seeing how the Slot situation pans out

Alonso is a Basque who played for and managed the hated Real Madrid.

In short: he doesn't do football allegiances.

Playing for Liverpool and managing Everton wouldn't even touch the sides.
Dave, you know what their mob are like, the poor sod would be getting bullets through his letterbox if he turned up here.

Good shout Windy, his star has fallen because of getting Ipswich relegated but that doesn't demean him as he's an excellent young coach. Jurgen Klopp had a relegation on his CV and begrudgingly we have to admit he was brilliant for the RS so I'd be very happy with McKenna
Looks like he's going to get Ipswich promoted twice in three seasons and got them over the hump of relegation and a bad start to this season.

Excellent coach of young players, too.

I'd go all out to get him.

Spurs to be fair to them have the London pull (always a factor for foreign coaches), plus more room for big signings considering they have been in Europe more often than not the last decade or so. Still, I think Alonso at Newcastle would be a combination that would strike major fear into the likes of City, Arsenal and the RS.

Ipswich basically bought all the best performing championship players last season, so they could come straight back up (if they went down which they did, some of them looked hideously out of their depth in the Premier league). After a poor start to this season they are now on course for promotion. He’s a very good and innovative coach is McKenna, he would certainly bring a very different approach to what our recent managers have.
