Barcelona remain keen to sign Uruguay's Luis Suarez despite his four-month ban for biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini during a World Cup match.

The Liverpool striker, 27, cannot take part in any football-related activity until the end of October.

He is not allowed to train with his club or enter a football stadium.

Yet La Liga side Barca, who already have Argentina forward Lionel Messi and Brazil playmaker Neymar, would consider signing Suarez for the right price.

Liverpool bought Suarez from Ajax for £25m in January 2011.

I hate him more for the many atrocious things he's got away with unpunished, than the biting and racial abuse incidents on his CV, and I
think he's got away lightly.

His stomping, raking, diving and collapsing in fake agony offend me more. Together with the incompetence of the referees and their
assistants which has allowed him to escape far greater punishment.

LFC should think about that before whining about being punished for his antics in Brazil.

He's just a horrible man, that's all.

Edit.I want to change something I said about him. I don't hate him, I hate what he does.

If I hear the word 'unfair' used again my head will explode. He's been banned from football when any non-footballer biting three different people would probably face prison. Take your punishment, get some help and get on with it you bad melt

Eric Cantona was banned from all football for how long? a year? Suarez did worse than attack a racist abusive fan. He harmed an Italian. Everyone knows Italians are cool. Should have been banned for 2 years.

The footballing authorities lack imagination if he was strapped to a chair and electric shock therapy administered live on SKY as "pay per view" they'd clean up world wide. Allow voting on the size of battery at 10p a text and betting on the decibel levels of his screams and the coffers would be full.

Ship 20% out to Dental Research and you're getting good works, profit and punishment all in one shot. It's all so bloody simple, pft.

He's a bloody hero back home in his fortified house. Vile. If an England player had bitten another pro I would want him ejected and nowhere near the national squad. I can't understand the support he is getting.
