Frightening.

As soon as Yakubu started untying his shoelaces at White Hart lane in 2008 we should have made this our #1 priority over the coming years.

Ah yes the american approach throw stats at the masses and ask if that shows how good each person is etc....

It about more than stats. We don't know what the players do in training or what Moyes asks them do to so how can we say if he is using them right?

Yes Moyes frustrates the hell out of us with his use of his forwards but he obviously has a game plan he tries to set out with. That and he seems big on his way or no way and the right attitude etc....

What you missed in those lovely stats are the games these lads played in who was the opposition? Who else was up front or in midfield? The circumstances and how many chance they created or were created for them.

There is just way too much info to add then to give a simple yes or no to such a broad question.

Got a tiny hunch part of what Moyes will be asking of the strikers is to score.. Displaying stats to the masses is not an American disease, political correctness for the sake of it is..

With the football we have been playing recently we really need to go 4-4-2 and make one striker play off the other or replace cahill with Donovan.

Osman - Fellaini - Rodwell - Drenthe

Donovan

?

When all are fit.

it's ok posting CHEESE stats, but they dON't factor in the bad luck in front of goal and Saha's inability to give a sh1t.

Scoring is not just down to strikers there needs to be distribution and chances made. Look at the yak now since he has had distribution from a midfield who offer it.

Also how you can put that on Moyes is beyond me. He probably tells them everyday they need to score without physically going out there and controlling them thats not possible.

As for amalias yes all he can do is ask them. Maybe the question should be should our midfield offer more for our strikers. I suspect injuries and playing two central defenders as midfielders for the most part may have something to do with that.

Don't get me wrong about the stats thing i love american sports and live for the most part in the U.S. but stats are the main talking point with every sport even soccer there and it sometimes ruins intelligent talk as there is alot more to sport than stats.
