  • Don't hit the first defender from a corner
  • Pass to another Everton player
  • Don't fall to pieces when another team get a goal back
  • Score goals
  • Don't concede goals
  • Win matches
Is the job mine?
Sorry that's the tactics manager role you should be applying for.

That very first point surely implies that we are lacking in a clear strategy if we have ad hoc priorites?

I think that the corporate world is full of morons and this doesn't change my mind much.

I've read the job description and don't understand it at all and wouldn't have a clue what I'd do, but the moment the new newbie makes a mistake I'll be there first online to rip into him.

That's exactly what it is.

The best one they have is in-house already though: any questionnaire where they offer fans the chance of a big gift prize in exchange for an idea that they can work with to get more cash out of you. "How would your experience be better enhanced" sort of queries.

Same principle they adopted in factories years ago with 'suggestions' boxes.

No one knows better how to exploit themselves than a fan / worker.

If you come across a club questionnaire in the future just answer those questions by saying: "make it cheaper". That'll knacker the hard faced gets.
