It is indeed but i feel like there has been numerous times over the years where one result just knocks the stuffing out of you abit.

You could say that about any match. Yeah, if we win every game for the rest of the season we'll probably be champions, but it's far easier for us to say it than for the players to do it

We are right in the European mix with a manager who has won the European Cup 3 times - and Evertonians are out in force complaining after a single loss (via a fluke deflection).

It is boring and so depressingly inevitable. Losing is part of sport, it happens to every team.

I wouldn’t say that’s true of here, I’d say it’s the same small group constantly banging the same drum day after day.

In our last 5 league games we’ve conceded one penalty and one dodgy deflection and taken 12 out of 15 points.

I’m gutted we didn’t beat West Ham but we’re level on points with Spurs and Man City even after having rotten luck with injuries losing our best players Digne, James, Allan, Richarlison, Coleman for multiple games in what is a really weird season for the players without fans and with weird safety protocols etc.

This is the first season I’ve been really positive and enjoyed being an Evertonian again for years... just wish I could go to a game!!

Make that last 6 league games only giving away one penalty and one dodgy deflection and taking 15 out of 18 points.
Even managing to win without a striker now!

As we are not in Europe (going out of the FA cup might not have been a bad thing either!) and other teams are, and as we seem to have weathered a bad spell in which we still managed to win difficult games, I honestly don't think it's outside the realm of possibility that we could win the league. It's a crazy season...

If we went on a good run while other teams around us like Liverpool went into slumps who knows. Can't see it happening but hopefully, the players themselves can be made to believe it. I was going to say "the higher you aim an arrow the further it will travel" but of course, that's utter nonsense and a surefire recipe for an arrow in the eye! But you get the idea!

We can finish anywhere this season, but to me it looks like there’s three teams who are better than us in Man U, Man City and Liverpool. We’re right in the mix for that 4th spot in my opinion as we’re no worse than Leicester, Chelsea and Spurs (who I think will also be challenging for the top 4).

I don’t expect we’ll get it but we can. I just hope we add one attacking player this window as we’re really thin on numbers up front.
