Stones OR Bolasie + Williams ?

Stones has reached his ceiling, a good squad player in a good team. I do not believe he has the character to be a great player and this recent article confirms it.

I thought the combined fee for Williams and Bolasie was close to 40m and we got 47 rising to 50m for Stones. So if you include Gueye and Stek we are stronger for making the sale.

John stones. Think all the shouts of stones being a poor defender is a myth. If he had stayed under koeman he would have shone l. Stones is a brilliant player AND defender just let down badly by Bobby

Regardless of the price, Williams and Bolasie are the future. Stones is already in the past for me. Hope he does well but has a f***ing nightmare every single time he plays against us.

Buy Williams and Bolasie.
Move up the league.
Win a cup.
Be boss.
Buy stones back fully developed thanks to pep.
Continue to be boss.

I'm fine with replacing Stones with Williams at a fraction of the cost.

Bolasie is a separate issue for me. I'd sooner have bought Chadli at half the price.

I'd be gutted if we sold Holgate, but selling stones has let him take up his place in the team and he's comfortably above how stones was playing when he left (out of position as well)

Ultimately though as much as I like him as a player and he is class is only gonna get better, he didn't want to be here. We got a great fee for him and right now we need Williams and Bolasie more than we needed Stones.
