Can anybody explain why i have spent £60 on two tickets to suffer Stoke fuken city for an hour n half?
On another note i haven't bothered with stoke since we beat them in the cup in Walters day,Stubbsy's hammer won the dayso not too sure on best boozers for blues down there.
Appreciate suggestions either in town or near the ground or both
It's a bit **** to be honest and quite a few appeared to have closed down even in the city centre. Didn't have any bother anywhere I went last time though.
By the ground all there is is a Harvester and a 5-a-side club. That's alright to be honest, decent size and plenty of screens which would have the early match (if there is one) but understandably it gets pretty chocker.

It's walkable - probably similar to the walk to Goodison so, depends if you can be arsed or would rather just get a cab. Think there's a handful of boozers on the way but they're closer to the station than to the ground so not evenly spaced out.

Not far - about 45 mins along the canal path I'd say. Hoping to get free tickets through work for this one after missing out on them last year.

You can't walk from the train station to the ground IMO. It's far too much of a mission and you would spend most of the journey walking down a dual carriage way. The ground is in the middle of facking nowhere, and you would be better off getting a taxi from the station.
There are plenty of pubs round Hanley, but they're not safe to enter unless you have been vaccinated against Hepatitis.

Ill get a taxi from the station I wanted to go for a drink before the game thats why I wanted to go by trqin.

If you're going for a drink first, you'd be better off going into Stoke rather than Hanley before the game - a couple of the pubs aren't too bad and Stoke is between the station and the ground. Hanley and the ground are in opposite directions from the station.
