I'm guessing the new ground would be a matter between Liverpool City council, Everton and potentially peel. I don't really see how as mayor of the "Liverpool City Region", Rotherham could scupper it.
Maybe joe's mayoral position will be abolished but he would probably just go back to being the leader of the city council or an influential figure in it.

I think Joe Anderson is already getting in the way.
Apparently was the shadow minister for mental health, so may be good for the depression stuff we do (although she doesn't appear in any way qualified in the topic), but reading her Wiki page it does boggle the mind, as she seems to know very little about Liverpool, and happened to be staying at the house of the guy running the selection process for Labour for a month prior to her selection. Oh, and her only career to date has been in the NUS.
I've read all that and have friends in her constituency - Wavertree.
To say she has nothing in common with her constituents is an understatement !
It baffles me how these people ever get these gigs. Nothing against the woman, but she seems completely unsuited to the role.
