Player Valuation: £20m
Have you seen on NewsNow that Peinaar didn't know anything about EFC and needed persuading by Delron Buckley that we are worth playing for. I watched him play for South Africa the other night and he looks a handy footballer but you would expect him to have the savvy(?) to say that he knew we are a great club blah blah blah. Am I being harsh. Is it refreshing to hear the truth unlike all the new LFC signings that profess to supporting them when they were a little girl!(Mind due they do have lots of scandinavians playing for them.)
PS. I hear the Yak has a tattoo of The Golden Vision as he was his favourite as a boy!!

I'm sure he had heard of them just not watched much of them or anything like that. Premier league is quite huge in South Africa if you like football so I'd be suprised.

Are you upset that he was honest? You prefer and accomplished liar?

Not at all. Read it again and I was questioning it. You know how fickle some fans are. If he starts playing badly and fans had read that he hadn't particularly known of us before then it could be another reason to turn against him. I hate it when you hear obvious tripe being spouted but you don't have to go the other way and say Everton who?

I think it's great to hear the truth from a player. Instead of some, like BT recently when he went to Sheffield, saying that it's a massive club and so on.

What I have seen of him up to now he seems a tad overrated, he is lightweight, has a decent touch but sprayed many short passes all over the place. Forget about what he didn't know about us, let him find out for himself and may be that will inspire him to play better:P

To be honest, the feeling is mutual. Mother thought he was one of those Watchtower chaps when he turned up for the match on Saturday with his boots. I had to explain before she harried the poor boy away with her broom.

Remind me to never make your mother angry..
