Stanley Park

It seems they cant afford it either though mate! Their turnover is greater then ours to and i think Dave made the point that they got funds through regeneration. If memory serves me correct we did put it to the council to move to Stanley park before them but it was rejected out of hand- that was the clubs offical word anyway! Id say Dave if anyone prob has more detail on it!

As I understand it, yes. An approach was made to use a part of the Park.

Personaly - and im not really against the move - i always wondered why the club didnt borrow signifcantly ala Arsenal to build in the city without a retail partner, as far as i can make out its not like borrowing for players or operating costs - its a salable asset, a revenue creating one at that. Long term repayments may not be as bad as we think, it would saddle the club with (more) long term debt though.

Kings Dock? Scuppered so you know who could keep his trainset.

Shared Stadium > Kirkby

For me anyway...

I'm sorry, but I wouldn't have considered it a few years ago, but now it's a far more attractive option than moving to Kirkby.

There would be no two ways about it, we'd be guaranteed a true world-class venue this way. It happens in other cities across the world, why not Liverpool?

I can only see one major downside to this idea, the rest is all postive.

We are bound to have increased revenue, which is what a new stadium is primarily about.

It would be world-class, iconic, one of THE most impressive in the game, and it would be partly ours.

shared stadium on stanley park, we could keep our gwladys st in blue - the goal closest to goodison, they'd have their kop in red closest to anfield which would be the away end in our home matches and vice versa, the bullens and MS equivalents in a neutral colour.

(but we would have to share with the red [Poor language removed]) to do this it would take massive investment by the city to ensure the facilitie's outside the ground match those inside, although a shared stadium would half the individual cost you would still have to have a large enough capacity to make it viable, i still think the proposed kirkby stadium too small if man city think they can fill seventy thousand seats, we should do eighty, build bigger

Shared stadium is the best thing for both of us, we both get a huge stadium, close to our old 1s, we share the costs, the council would throw money at it, Euro Funding, Lottery money, naming rights, World Cup games, concerts, it would be ideal, so what we share with them, so what they get bigger attendances than us, they do anyway.

I cant see 1 bad reason for doing it myself.

angel on one shoulder ,devil on the other

devil, " the proposal makes good financial sense and the advantages would be greater than going alone. "

Angel " Aaaaaaaaaaaaaargh not the red shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiite!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

an iconic 60,000+ seater stadium
historic location ..INBETWEEN the 2 original grounds.
I would have all the seats Purple.
It would be in the world cup 2018 (if we get it)
Works for the milan clubs
Would boost the status of our club worldwide

You cant re-create or make something better than goodison so leave it be... start something new

I agree with the devil...

the one down side is that outside the uk, the shared ground would be thought of as liverpools and we would then become a second thought and in their shadow(hate them hate them spawn of satan RS scum)
