Those on the left currently in anger at the recent mob in Southport said little when police were being attacked and buildings/statues damaged then.

That is in essence the problem with our current political system, those on the Left & Right only denounce mob rule when it suits their own brand of ideology.

When you are part of a threat that is bad enough for the Police to warrant bring Police dogs to the scene, and you you are behaving aggresively enough infront of a Shepherd to cause its training to kick in; a normal mind would think about what was happening.
