We shot ourselves in the foot and gave the games to Spurs. Howard and Barry shameful stuff.
But credit where due- I chuckled at Spurs centre of Bentaleb, Kane and Mason. They were very good yesterday for such an inexperienced trio. Really highlights the poor performance of our experienced heads.

Does this now conclude that James McCarthy is our most important and perhaps best player? We don't play the same without him. I'd love to see him as our next captain, he's a leader on the pitch always talking and what I like the most is that he's become a proper nark aswell lately. Well in James lad.
No mate it concludes that Barry, Howard and Eto'o had poor games, with big mistakes by Barry/Howard costing us two goals when we were in control.

Thats what it concludes

We were rubbish on the day

They weren't

It happens

Roll on Hull and a congratulations to @Yid4life

Your Spurs gave us a harsh lesson

Cheers.

Phil Thompson put the kiss of death on EFC when he said that man for man, every Everton player was better in their position than the THFC equivalent. Anyone that thinks Howard is better than Lloris is mad (he may be right about the other ten though).

Be prepared to be shocked & amazed on Wed (we will keep the score down to 3-0).

Howard rolls it out to Jagielka, who passes it to Baines out wide, who turns back and plays it to Distin's feet. Distin takes a touch, plays the simple pass to Jagielka, who plays it to Barry and gets the return ball and sprays it out wide to Coleman. He takes a look up, but no movement, so he plays it back to Jagielka, who plays the one-two with Distin before pumping it long. Throw in to the opposition and we're still losing, but this time there's even less time remaining to get ourselves back into the game.
Story of our entire season and pre-season. it's so meff.
A team with a good coach can keep us locked down so easily and we just can't adapt and open them up.
We hope that Barkley can provide the key, but he continues to disappoint.
Such a bad performance and result against a poor Spurs side yesterday.

This game pretty much killed any chance we had of a top 4 imo - we are done
Why? All bar City and Chelsea are average. But we do need to string together some wins, not draws. Our 7 wins on the bounce last season seems a dream now, we're that far from looking the business.

Cheers.

To be fair when a RS-loving twerp like him says that you have to think he's not far off.

Lloris is 10000x better than Howard, but other than that...? Very strange considering the amount of dosh Spurs have spent.

Eriksen is better than Barkley, by far (at the moment). But who else is there? That kind of makes the defeat all the more annoying. We should have beaten you but Howard's failure and then a team-wide lack of fight and unity cost us. Meanwhile, to be fair, your lot were well up for it. I didn't think they'd be able to press so aggressively all game but you kept it up and got a deserved 3 points, even with that penalty shout (should have been a pen like, but we didn't deserve anything from the game).
