Keep Barry and Beto for now. There’s no guarantee we get on the market what we’re looking for. This run of losses and missing out on Europe puts us where we were last summer. We couldn’t offer Europe. So we offered up playing time and a cool stadium. Plenty said pass. Hopefully we get someone decent as a striker but until we’re consistently good, the best ones get scooped up by the top clubs. That’s how we got Beto and Barry. The only way forward is through winning.

Betos got 1 year left on his contract, we need to sell or renew being the point.

Dont think either are good enough
Sell Barry now and admit the signing was poorly thought out and a waste of money.

I dont disagree at all that both are poor players. But the difference was we signed Barry when we had a decent budget to spend rather than next to nothing. A really terrible piece of business. Gives me very little hope for our future recruitment.

If we decide to keep Barry over Beto then my already low confidence in our recruitment will be entirely gone.

To me this is about as obvious a decision as you can ever have in elite top flight football. Barry is not good enough to play centre forward for an established top flight club.
Not a level of the sport he wouldn't struggle at. Be trading off his 2 against city in Kyrgyzstan in a few years.

Who is going to want him? He is a running joke.
He has been in the full glare of the football world. Every man and his dog has witnessed how appalling he is. Not just his lack of ability, but his [Poor language removed] attitude.

I thought he would start Richarlison, he will give Laurel and Hardy a torrid time all afternoon.

Nobody wants Barry with the money everton would want. He is a good Swiss or Belgium player . Nobody in that kind of country is able to pay big money. He fluked a half decent season in Spain. Perhaps somebody is crazy is enough to want him.

Yeah but the point was Betos sale is more pressing given contract.

If he plays and gets injured it would be a problem IMO. Particularly if a bad'un. It would be just our luck in a dead rubber
