Please take your camera. Some pics before you start, some pics when you 'have a rest' and some pics if it isnt too dark from the top. please.

Took it last year. This guy was lining up at the start. Put my own hero worship into perspective.

Just think "beloved" is possibly a tad ott ?

of course you may never miss a game ? I wouldn't know, but people casually call people 'legend' in the same way e.g. "that Tim Lovejoy is a ledge" when all he is is a cockney tossbag and not legendary in any way shape or form apart from a 'legendary gobshoite.'

Confused here like. Is Lovejoy a golfer or something?
Current sporting hero... Wiggins is incredible, O'Sullivan is an amazing talent, Bolt is insanely amazing considering how he does what he does, Federer gets a shout. Tougher question than I originally thought to answer this one.
From yesteryear Lewis, Faldo, Lemond, that Union side that went to NZ, Johnny Davies, Benn & Eubank, Ballesteros, Botham, Hurricane Higgins, Schumacher. Its picking one that has had a legacy, Botham has done outstanding charity work and helped push leukemia care to the high standard its at.

Possibly ott but I do try and watch most games, the exception being when they start at 3-4am UK time... Sod that! And I always catch up on what I've missed the morning after. But they along with Everton are my 2 sporting teams and I do love them both despite them being a bit rubbish at times. Been saving up my wages to afford a trip to Toronto at the end of this month to watch 5 games... So I'm sticking with 'beloved' :P

And yes of course 'legend' is a very subjective term but with this thread being about personal sporting heroes I figured I could express an opinion of one of mine being a legend (y) In snooker terms I'd like to think most people would agree he is along with the likes of Hendry, Davis, Higgins, Reardon etc. But yes it is a very overused word, I take it back and replace with 'hero'!

Legend with Mr White probably fits, but then he lost 6 world finals ? Higgins was my fav. but then it was a generation before, was saturated on TV and full of boring bland 'arl arses. The one to be peoples champ throughout has always been a bit of a bad boy though, Who can find anything in the character of Steve Davis or Hendry as an alternative, although Davis now has a character based on everyones perception of him back then, he's like snookers Barry from Eastenders.
