A sobering thought is that it is cooling down and one day after all the stars have burnt themselves out it will be empty, dark and cold.

I love this kind of stuff even if most of it goes right over my head. Was wacthing a program last night about what happened before the big bang and just about managed to keep up.

Some interesting theories which were mentioned in your link, it really annoys me that we don't know such a simple basic thing as how we got here.

Same, it's so interesting. We're so miniscule compared to everything else. I love watching Brian Cox's programmes, they're interesting but not too challenging

I think so. Maybe not intelligent, or as intelligent as us anyway but it's really not too much of a stretch IMO. Remember listening to a theory about how the genetic material required to start life on this planet could've arrived on a meteor or something. Obviously I don't explain it very well, I'll try and find it.
