couple reasons, he keeps getting kicked under the bench and you don't wanna be crawling around on the floor in your suit trying to find him, and secondly it's a door stop you don't want someone to come barging through the door and take out half of the first team. They put a traffic cone over 'him' on matchdays so that noone stubs their toe.*
