Signing a 34yr old to a five year deal is mental. Probably on a massive wage too.
He'll probably become a part of the coaching staff in 2-3 years full time, and be a playing coach for a season or two.

Also at that lvl I think he wouldn't have any trouble playing another 5 years.

There is a wage cap in league two at the moment isn't there? Maybe its only a gentlemens agreement. Maybe Beckham will join the sven revolution soon.

Lets be honest, almost any decent defender could play in the lower leagues until they reach 40.
Still think its madness to give him a contract that long straight away.
A 2yr deal with options surely would make a lot more sense.

I watched the press conference, somebody asked him if he was going to be looking for houses nearby. He said him and "his missus" would be having a talk about it, I swear there was a definate snigger from some people in the press. Im not lying.

I cant believe Sol Campbell has signed for Svens Revolution. Most probaly to get money for his pension but as a rich mega-bucks footballer instead of a pension they will call it a mansion not a pension lol
