The australian football team have progressed into the knock out stages of the asian cup.
Tim Cahill, was once again on the bench for the australia match vs thailand. After coming on for bresciano he assisted in two of the goals scored against thailand.
Im happy that cahill has made it through to the knockout round of the asian cup. Even though it increases the risk of injury (which moyes is worried about) to one of our star players, it increases cahills reputation with larger clubs, which is always good (unless they bid for him). Also it saved embarrassment for the australia side...
Cahill has been very useful to australia in the asian cup, scoring a late equaliser agaisnt oman (coming off the bench). Cahill also assisted in australias only goal vs iraq. And now he has asisted in 2 goals.
Tim Cahill literaly is the reason australia remain in the asian cup, and i think when he comes back and plays in evertons first premiership match, we will see a better cahill than weve ever seen.
