If we based last season on the pre-season friendly at Stoke, we'd have been relegated to the Vanarama League. As you say, people look far too much into them.

Considering we haven't won an August league game since Benitez was manager, I just could not disagree more with the opinion that pre season matches don't matter.

Our pre seasons are not taken seriously enough and we never have a team ready to start a league season.
