That was one of my favorite moments too. It's really stupid that they say HD when it's not. I was searching for the HD channel forever.

In a written vote, more than 350 players supported a strike and only two opposed it, a source close to the situation said.
"We will not start the season without a new agreement," said a veteran player, who requested anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the negotiations. "To be quite blunt, it doesn't look good at all."

No harm, I actually thought it was funny and was pleased that you thought that my posts were well thought out.
I own a youth soccer web site that is really popular in Florida, Massachuetts, and somewhat in other states. I think that some Florida posters know that I am a woman, but the posters in Mass, I believe, have no clue, and think that I am a man. They, if they reference a post that I made, refer to me as a him, and have even asked for my opinion on some of the finer points of the game. I correctly let those go and only post about what I think I know, not what I do not know.

he's too professional to do a lescott but i can see him coming back on a permanent with no hesitation if we get the cash to buy him. I honestly believe he's a loyal player and would come back to us after we believed in him and treated him as our own, can't see him picking another team over us. My fear is the money won't be available and he'll be forced elsewhere in the prem
The fact that he formally asked for a loan extension tells everyone that he wants to stay. I think that he will miss the daily challange that the EPL gives a player. He will miss the fans and his teammates here. He will be back.
I will also say that Bruce Arena has not made a lot of fans in the US lately. Even Galaxy fans were against LD returning. Some site in the states had a poll up, not Foxsports, can't remember what site, but their first question on the poll, was "Should Donovan just go back to the Galaxy and stay". There were thousands of replies on the poll and on that first question, no one voted that he should go back and stay. No one out of thousands.

I think the sand, sun and family of SoCal eased his desire for Europe for years, but given the fantastic experience he's had at Everton, I wonder if it will be the same balm.
I also think his divorce plays big in this situation compared to previous years
No matter how much family means to you, it's one thing to be away from parents/siblings and entirely another to be away from your significant other

The Major League Soccer labor situation look ready to get much worse before it gets better.
The Washington Post is reporting that the MLS players union has voted resoundingly in favor of a strike if a new Collective Bargaining Agreement isn't agreed to before the start of the season, with the vote put at more than 350 in favor of a strike and just two against a strike.
Neither the player's union or MLS have commented on the report yet, but the vote is in line with what players have been saying for some time. It seems pretty inevitable that the union will strike right before the start of the season if the league does not budge in negotiations. Now the question is whether MLS will seriously consider some concessions. If not, we could be headed for a strike, which would be devastating for a league heading into a very important season.
