Sir Landon Of Donovan

Pienaar was definitely the fulcrum in attack and Donovan was more involved with the defending. It really changed the shape of the team for the worse, for the most part.

Donovan was playing second striker towards the end of the match and was linking well with Pienaar.

from what i understand drenthe didnt play any part because if he had got boooked he would of been out of the chelsea game next week

I guess i feel like Donovan or Pienaar could play inside. I haven't seen enough of Drenthe though.

All three are excellent at any offensive midfield position. Play all 3 together, let them swap and switch all through the game at their discretion, have straq up top to play off of, and Felliani and gibbo behind. Solid and very dangerous attacking front 4 that would be. I really liked the runs that straq has been making of late, a little more chemistry and he'll be beating offside traps and getting behind defenses all day.

Donovan has been imense since his re-signing, he'll be missed when the loan arrangement runs out. His crossing is amongst the best in the League

Will he be back again next season do you think? I think he gives such a boost when he arrives. Everton look a much more dangerous side with him providing the ammo into the box. He's so accurate too

I have no idea. The fact I'm thinking whether or not we could get a loan player from the MLS to save next season depresses me immensely.

Exactly,,, we shouldn't be planning our whole season around a two month period after xmas for any player... no matter who he is. There are probably 30 more games a season we have to plan for too.

I dont think you plan a season around him, but if you are in trouble he adds a lift, if you are doing well, he provides another option and gives a chance to rest one or two.

Thing is there are few players of that quality available to come in and give a lift to a squad. With all the games around new year the timing is pretty good.
