I was speaking to a friend tonight who is a swansea fan who said they had agreed a fee with Blackpool and wages with Tom Ince but at the last minute a 7 figure signing on fee was asked for so Huw Jenkins said no. Don't know if this is true just passing it on.

Read earlier that Ince was talking to Monaco today and his dad had missed a press conference or something because of it

His dad missing press conferences is not really headline news tbh..... as this is the man who can't even be bothered to show up for training sessions.

If you look at Martinez style and tactics, he sets up his teams to score from other areas of the pitch not from just the lead from an attacker.... look at where our goals are coming from this season, no coinicdence? full backs pushing higher into goals scoring positions, midfielders arriving and scoring from just outside the box, goals from shots created by clever movement of the high line,

I too would be surprised if KJ is Goodison bound but the man has qualities in his locker... qualities that once earned him the price tag of 10 million and chased by managers that are regarded as top manager in the game. Playing for Sunderland and Stoke have probably affected him like Moyes tactics affected Jela

I think that the style of striker Martinez wants will have specific qualities and if Martinez is looking at this player he must see something in him that fits his game plan. It might not necessarily be he can score 20 plus goals a season... who knows but I feel to right any player off before given a chance is unfair... not exactly pissing up 10 million to buy him are we??

Like McGeady, no brainer .... if it does not work out move him on for a fee .... Lucas Neil comes to mind, profit on a free transfer

Regardless of that, it's not as if Martinez sets his teams up deliberately for his strikers not to score goals. Your centre forward should be the main source of goals, and any goals from midfield or defence are a bonus. I'm sure Martinez has every intention of adding our outfield players' goals to those of a 15-20 goal a season striker. Good ol' Kenwyne would do exceptionally well to get 5 in a season. Playing for Sunderland and Stoke should have been exactly the sort of tactics he'd thrive on, with his style of play. He should be perfect for Stoke humping long balls to him all day long. But he's garbage and has absolutely nothing to offer any Premier League club, which is why Stoke and their fans want rid of him. Again, no part of me feels that he'd be even a remote success here

Did you know:Kenwyne Jones is from Trinidad and Tobago same as Dennis Lawrence our first-team development coach who is very close to Martinez (came with him from Wigan)?
