I really don't understand the fume / meltdown with some fans. You have two options.

1. Turn yourself into a nervous wreck by biting your nails and refreshing your footy websites every minute, the deals will still go through / not happen.

2. Go about your daily life checking in every now and then, the deals will still go through / not happen.

Both options will end with the same result albeit one will make you angry. I just don't get it.

Would you prefer we bid £5m for kenwyne jones just so we are spending some money? Or would you prefer to try and getting actual value for money? Where has anyone said that Kenwyne Jones is the sum total of our dealings? We don't even know if he is genuinely a target.

I cannot for the life of me fathom why we would want to sign Batshuayi and then immediately send him out on loan. It makes no sense whatsoever!

Lukaku does not just need cover, he needs COMPETITION. Buying Batshuayi and then sending him on loan would be absolutely ridiculous, the only possible reason would be to receive a loan fee in order to reduce the outlay, or maybe Martinez really is too scared of upsetting his players that he couldn't cope with having two players competing for the same position, both such reasons are utterly pathetic.

Having adequate 'cover' does not mean signing the crappest players you can possibly buy so that they can step in and play crap when someone gets injured. Anyone who is providing 'cover' should also be capable of fighting for a first team place!

Kenwyne Jones is a DOWNGRADE on Jelavic. He can't even get in the Stoke side. Jones' stats in the last the last three seasons read:

Played 21 Scored 1
Played 26 Scored 3
Played 7 Scored 0.

He is worse than Jelavic, and he is on 40k a week FFS!
