Osman very serviceable but for quality it has to be our Icelandic prince.

Osman could get about the pitch more which I imagine may skew the results when some on here contribute.......

The fact you think Osman could “get about the pitch more” says absolutely everything about that lanky slug. Osman moved like a 48 year old when he was 25.

Glyffi ;-) Absolutely hated Osman as light weight useless powder puff who because he was from Liverpool was great ;-(
One of the big problems for osman, was Cahill. As osman was lightweight and slow, which doesn’t really suit playing on the wing.

He would have done a lot better in the 10 role which he played there quite a bit after Cahill left.

From a touch, vision, close control, passing point of view. He was much better than siggurdsson

Osman. Quick feet, curled the ball into the net on many occasion and contributed to the team. Siggy has only scored the odd belter now and again, doesn't offer much to the team dynamic. Also, Osman was used a lot on the right wing playing out of position.

Debate should be Siggy or Linderoth, which Scandanavian do you dislike the least.

Osman proved a good utility in a team that regularly competed for Europe, for Everton and Spurs, Gylfi has flattered to deceive... he only really stood out as the main man at Reading - Championship at the time and Swansea - a relegation fodder side.

Osman was miles better, absolutely miles better. Neither had any pace, but Osman had close control and guile with both feet and could play in almost any midfield position. Siggurdson can barely trap the ball these days without needing a lunge on his second touch and can’t play anywhere other than number ten.

For all of Sigurdsson’s odd wonder strikes, Osman has them all and better in his highlights reel. Goals like the one Osman scored v Sunderland are completely beyond Siggurdson.

If you take a showreel of their best goals here and rank them you'll get a couple of Osman's in amongst Sigurdsson's before you get to crap and he's been here a third of the time and arguably passed his peak. You can label Gylfi of many things but the goals against Leicester and Hajduk are about as good as we have seen for decades.

Yes Osman's goal against Larissa was a thing of beauty but let's not get overboard on who scored the better goals.

Sig can at least hit a ball as opposed to an Osman pea roller of a shot. Ozzy is probably much better at go-carting though.
