I understand it in fairness, I just think it's incredibly bad form but yet again shows what a mess the club is in. You're also pushing Cannon back down again too, so it's not just Simms that we're potentially derailing. The biggest thing about it I think is this lad surely can't be good enough to make the difference for us becasue they all deemed him not good enough in the Summer and sent him out, if they thought he was good enough then they'd have saved £12m on Maupay and kept Simms instead.

Like I said I think it's just incredibly short sighted.

I'm all for it. Even if we sign a striker, they could get injured and we would be back in the same situation with no other options.

Simms has a better record in the Championship than Harry Kane did when out on loan for example. I am not saying he will be anywhere near the same stratosphere as Harry Kane, however ask Millwall, Leicester and Norwich fans how good they thought he would become. Not very would be the answer.

Let's get behind him - he knows how to slot and his only start I can recall ended in us getting a point at Stamford Bridge. He will be good to have around IMO whether starting or not...

I wasn’t aware of what was going on with Everton and if you’re considering bringing Simms back then I’d be very worried.

He’s been good for us, puts in a good shift and he’s scored some brilliant goals too but he’s not shown enough to say he’d be Premier League standard yet. He’s not even the best striker at our club atm.

No beef with Everton, I wish you the best but can’t see how recalling him helps much. He’s definitely capable but I can’t see it working out.
