Sean Dyche

The most surprising aspect of all the posts this afternoon is that some of you spent 55 minutes listening to a Dyche podcast?!! Even I couldn’t listen to him drone on that long.

‘I’m not bothered by him’…‘I’ve just finished listening to 55 mins of him’

Hello, you can tag me, I watched it today, but I've never once said "I'm not bothered by him", so why make things up.

Things like this;

You oversimplify/make up arguments often.

Dyche says what is the reason for what?

As for managers contracts - like I've said with Moyes, Glasner, as well as others including Dyche plenty of times. I've even had the debate before with you here.

You can't have a situation where you allow a manager to see out their contract. It's not helpful, and will be a negative factor. Dyche said players stopped listening to him, and I'm saying I'm not surprised given his limited style needs buy in more than most/half of them were off that summer, and the other half knew Dyche was off.

It's why, and as I've said plenty of times on here in recent months - Moyes either needs sacking this summer, or given a new contract. We shouldn't be going into a new season with a manager with months on his contract.

Except, I didn't.

You just made it up.

Well, Forest fans hate every manager. They wanted Ange gone after 2 games.

They're not the most stable of fanbases, I mean;

The word myopic springs to mind.

Seeing this does kind of support Dyche's point about keyboard warriors, as much as he was managing reputation with some of those comments. That type of influence on players must be difficult to manage.

Chill out ffs, it’s a bit of humour.

Good to see you are still bothered by Sean Dyche ex-Everton manager though, over a year after he’s left the club. No wonder he does so much media when he has such a ready enthusiastic audience

I’m looking forward to Dychey, Woaney and Stoney taking on the Red Adair job of saving Spurs, and in his first presser saying Spurs is the biggest club he’s managed sending us all into meltdown!

People are arguing reasons for his departure. It’s past news, who cares?

I see.

Here's another example of you just making something up;

At no point there whatsoever have I "layed the blame for the poor results on the fact they weren't listening"

I mentioned what Dyches said, and I shared my view that I wouldn't be surprised if they did stop listening (based on the context which was his contract length). Absolutely no reference there at all to results. You've just made it up.

Were you not saying there that he needed to go because the players weren't listening?

The wider context of the conversation was about Dyche leaving Everton after the interview he just did. Why did he need to leave? Because the results were bad. He says it himself in that interview

"So I spoke to the club to be fair to them, well to Kev Thelwell, I had an honest chat with him and said look I can smell that this is changing, I'm not doing two years of graft here for this to go the wrong way. I said no chance."

You were just discussing with @Nymzee over whether he did it to escape having the relegation on his CV and whether you'd have done it.

The whole discussion was around whether he was running from his bad form by blaming the players for not listening, something you then connected to his contract status as the explanation for this.

Nobody said this, you made it up. Strawman.

He had to go because form was bad, form was bad because they weren't listening, they weren't listening because of his contract uncertainty. No, you never said it explicitly but it's the conclusion you wanted people to draw from what you were arguing
