Weren’t Burnley mate, yes it was when he came in, but he’s been here 21 months and has won 6 in 27 league games,
That’s not progression and we’ve played pretty poorly in 3/4 of them and we’re lucky to win them. His job it to get better out of the players and team make us better, irrelevant of money.

His job was to come ion and stop us ending each season in 18th/19th/20th place in May until we got the ownership / finances sorted out and into that new stadium.

Thats your interpretation and thats fine. We were 1 0 up and they equalised through a scruffy goal from a corner. The same Leicester who came from 1 down to draw with Spurs. The same Leicester who gave Arsenal a fright away yesterday. If you look at any game retrospectively you could pick holes in any managers decisions.

"Dyche lovers" describes people who see things in the round - that he's landed here with a thankless task and no cash or even support above him from a stewardless, rudderless club to save one of the great English football institutions from relegation - at a point when the British football media and the powers that be in the Premier League were determined to see us into the Championship.

If he keeps us up for the third season running - which he will - he'll have completed a remarkable story in this club's history. To walk into this catastrophe and keep his nerve and see us through to new ownership and a new stadium is a fantastic achievement.

The stick he's getting reflects on his detractors much more than it does on him. He'll get a standing ovation at the end of the season and he'll be wished all the best by the vast majority of Everton fans for what he's managed to do here.

was he the right choice prob yes and if he does go at the end of the season would go with my best wishes What he has done here. Think most of us can respect the job he has done esp the first two seasons. But 100% agree is not a remarkable story has been paid well anr actually done his job unlike the run of managers before him. But as Everton some of the stats dyche has is a disgrace and i think he could have done better like that was the first time coming back from a team scoring first, the home record under him has been pretty poor.

I think lampard , clearly a very limited manager , deserved some credit for reuniting an extremely damaged and divided club post RS . Im not sure every manager could have navigated it , although that’s more about personality than ability .

Although I was against the appointment I think when dyche came in we were in trouble and he did well holding together the mess and dragging us over the line , at that stage I was relatively hopefully . Last season with a poor squad and two deductions it would have been easy for us to go , but a combination of factors which includes poor promoted sides he got us over the line . Again probably gets a well done , although nothing to celebrate.

The fire fighting of two years only gets you so far though , speaking personally I expect more with this squad (full backs aside ) and it’ll take some dramatic improvement to get me singing his praises .
