Seamus Coleman isn't up to it.

I've had a few here so excuse me if this is completely wrong but today's performance against Arsenal has just confirmed it for me:

Seamus Coleman is sh*te. Why do people seem to like him and think he's 'the future' or whatever? Maybe one day he's going to be an decent right back one day, but at the moment he just runs into blind alleys and loses the ball. He's like a f**king headless chicken. Plus his crossing and his shots are abysmal. I'd rather have Barkley and possibly even Gueye there instead.

Yes, he puts great effort in, is physical and always has a go without fear, but that just isn't good enough for me. Of course we'd have better players there in future if we had money. But I think we've got better at the moment.

Views lids?

Edit: I've got to say like, he is great for the money we payed. I just don't get why people are saying he's going to be a great first team regular in years to come.

Bump

Sorry azz but ye know.....

Lol

We know.

It doesn't have to be done every single game.

I was talking about right midfield, though, where he was sh*te. I said maybe he'll make a decent right back one day.

 your right, he was never gonna make a right midfielder...crossing not good enough and no good with his back to goal. but thats for same for most full backs

A lot of us make mistakes, look at Moyes who preferred Neville to Barkley, a lot of fans on here were furious with Fellaini for around 12 months, I never used to rate Pienaar at first

It'll deffo be me getting vaulted here!

He's such a fantastic threat, but my criticism always came from his defensive side, he was always a little clumsy, he's cleaned it up a lot, but he's still very clumsy in the box etc...

But why draw a negative, from a positive moment! Coleman was amazing yesterday and deserves all the credit he is given!

Fantastic to see the development of player who cost so little

I reckon there are a few more gems like Seamus lurking on teams in Ireland.
Why not take a chance on them and bring them over? It'll only cost what some guys are getting every week.
