These commentators can do one

If it was Rangers fans on the pitch, it would be a "magical moment" to be treasured

But no, it's Hibs fans, so it's bad

Get to absolute #### Sky Sports
Dont talk [Poor language removed], rangers are always hammered by the authorities, hibs deserved to win, but an element on the pitch ran to the rangers end and players were attacked

A fantastic cup final , great football and genuinely thrilling . I also completely understand the elation of the Hibs fans .

However The scenes afterwards and the reports and apparent photographs , with others withheld apparently at police request , of players and staff attacked are indefensible. It seems outrageous that many seem to have sought to blame Rangers , their behaviour in the past has been rightly criticised but players and staff assaulted at a cup final is not something that's close to acceptable .

I can only presume he was unaware of the facts at that stage to be fair .

Obviously the lads who had a pop at the Rangers players are tossers, and the book should be thrown at them

Most of the Hibs fans on the pitch were there just to celebrate the win and didn't hurt anyone, but some idiots have ruined a great occasion

Hysterical stuff like this though, http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/...-shameful-hampden-8022425#uV6RCH0Zr87yAxx4.97 , is way OTT

I think if you put yourself in the position that several Everton players were assaulted by say Liverpool fans then you'd have a several hundred page thread of understandably ranting and posters outraged by the situation whether it was a minority responsible or not . You'd also have Everton fans in the paper talking about "its their mentality" and "what we'd expect from a sizeable minority of their fans " whilst explaining our reasoning . It's a natural reaction surely ?

Just as if it was the situation reversed and Everton fans on the pitch you'd have some people on here explaining it was a minority and talking about a hysterical Liverpool reaction . Others would be appalled by what went on .

Like I said earlier the elation and reaction from many fans after an amazing result and brilliant game was completely understandable but if players are attacked after a cup final you're going to get a huge amount of coverage .

All a blog piece like that will do is intensify any supposed anti rangers sentiment

By calling Hibs a small club, and tarring all their supporters with the same brush, he has only made the situation worse

I don't think he sees the irony

Also, I'd be interested in his reaction the next time Rangers Supporters inevitably do something similar

Will he want such swift action from the SFA at that point?

I think we all know the answer to that question

I'm all for consistency on these issues

Every single idiot who attacked a Rangers player or supporter should be punished to the fullest extent possible

You can see I thought the same last season with Motherwell Supporters running on and actually stated that the Rangers Supporters did very well to remain in their seats in the face of extreme provocation

Here's a news flash, football supporters don't tend to like other football supporters

The fact this blogger is trying to make out that Rangers are a special case is laughable
