Thought theyd sort themselves out with O’Neil back
There is just an aura around the club that is very negative at the minute. Sold there best players for profit and hardly spent a penny on the squad. Needs a major overhaul that squad but can’t see it happening at the minute.

Hearts winning the league might wake them up but the fact they’ll likely finish behind Rangers should give them a kick in the backside they need.

Hadn't seen that.

Disgusting

I was going to ask a couple of weeks ago if there was ever violence at EPL games, but after it was implied I was trying to cover up the bad behaviour of Celtic fans because I reckoned 1 or 2 people could do the grafitti we saw that day in a matter of minutes, I decided against it.

Apart from the clip that you referenced I'm sure that there are still.pockets of violence and bad fan behaviour in and around football in England.

I've been going to matches since the 60s and some of the scenes that I witnessed in the 80s were absolutely terrifying.

Fortunately I haven't seen anything of note since the mid 1990s, certainly nothing as " obvious" as the pitch invasions at Ibrox.

Perhaps, on reflection to label both sets of fans as neanderthal was a bit OTT.

Desperately hope that we don't see a return to fan violence.

Yes, I would agree with that.

It's just the Rangers fans who are neanderthals. 🙂

Oh so you mean for the Rangers fans it was only those 8 or however many people with the masks and everyone else is sound?

Same logic, "1 or 2 people" did the graffiti, but a whole stand/section is in bits in every possible way

As bad as each other.

What are you talking about?

There were loads of Rangers fans who ran onto the park to cause trouble, not just 8 with masks.

As for the whole stand being in bits, I'll leave aside the ludicrous exaggeration and point out that some of the photos of damage, and the drone footage on the STV news showing damaged seats, were of the Copland Road end. That is the Rangers supporters end.

I don't know how those seats came to be damaged. Maybe it was vandalism, maybe it was just supporters standing on them during the game, but you would need to be mentally ill to try and claim Celtic supporters infiltrated the home end and caused that damage.

Anyone, no matter who they support, deliberately vandalising a stadium is a lowlife.

I admit I know nothing about graffiti, and I would accept info from someone who does know about it, but in my, admittedly uneducated, opinion, I reckon I could write Scheidt on a couple of walls in a few minutes. It wasn't quite what you'd call a Banksy exhibit.

As for the 'As bad as each other' comment. This is typical of people who don't really don't have a clue what they're talking about, but think they do.

I'll leave this record of riots by Scottish football fans over the last 50 odd years. Only one team is involved in them all. Can you guess who it is?

Rangers supporters riots.webp

Even if you scramble around desperately trying to blame Celtic fans for any of it, the only one you could possibly pin on them is Hampden 1980. But hey 'As bad as each other' right? 😏

I'm not scrambling around to blame Celtic for it, I'm surprised you're playing the "we're so just and clean and pure" card when your fans are also guilty of things, even in cases where they're obviously guilty of them.

So yes, as bad as each other.
