Scottish Cup 4th round begins tonight , with a fantastic four Highland League teams in the draw . Tonight it’s Formartine v Cove Rangers, Brora are at East Fife tomorrow and the biggie on Sunday with the Broch v Rangers. So at least one HL team in the fifth round and having seen all four teams this season Cove are favourite to progress for me. This season they are clearly the best team in the HL and in Mitch Megginson and Jamie Masson have two class players who can score goals. Despite being slightly built ,Megginson knows how to find the net at this level . Formatine’s best player is former Elgin player Archie McPhee, a strong attacker who’s their leading goalscorer. 3-1 to Cove , with all three mentioned on the score sheet.
It’s been pretty cold up here the last few days, pitch inspection at 1 pm.

Great acquisition for Hearts. Hasn’t worked out for Naisy at Norwich, injuries haven’t helped, he’s clearly not in their manager’s plans tho! He’s probably not any less of the player that they paid £8.5m for. His experience and knowhow could see Hearts have a very strong 2nd half of the season

Dunfermline 1 v 2 Morton

Well deserved Scottish cup win for the 'Ton and 3 good goals, particularly Jai Quitongo's winner. Morton started on the front foot and were in control for most of the game apart from the 5 mins before ex-Ton striker Dec McManus scored their equaliser and the 10 mins after that. Midfielder Gary Harkins dictated play from midfield and he gave a M.O.M. performance.
Diddy club (Brora) at home to hopefully progress to the next round, big club away for a big payday or a far flung trip for the swally in tomorrows draw please ;)
