I've never personally wanted Moyes to go, at all.
The changes he has made and the improvements at the club since he joined have been massive, which is why in this modern era we all have bigger expectations, which is why the result on Saturday put everything in context, for me anyway.
But I think most of us are used to disappointment, old and young fans alike.
As Brennan mentioned, we bounced back after a truly disappointing outcome in the Semi-Final last year, can we do it again?
I don't see why not. But the players played a lot worse on Saturday than they did in the Semi-Final, arguably with a better squad against a weaker team.
However, we are Everton, we don't lose many games. If the players get a kick up the backside (which they will) then the game on Saturday could give welcome relief to the most hardened Everton supporters. But many will still cheated and angry etc.
I just don't get worked up over it, it's not worth it at all. It's football, but disappointments happen less for us than they do for teams like Reading, QPR etc. I'll enjoy the good moments, and I'll criticise the players and manager when it's necessary, and make my voice heard. But a result is a result, nothing will change that, and getting upset over something which is unchangeable is just pointless.
Moyes ain't going anywhere until the end of the season, however, as I work and talk to people at Everton, the staff really are fed up with Moyes, his dominion over certain things. Finch Farm is a good example, spending etc. And some peoples jobs are on the line because Moyes is dithering about over his future, that it way more in important than football in my opinion, and in that sense he's being extremely selfish.
