One game away from Wembley, our rivals, after weeks of build up and tens of thousands of fans travelling to London, compared to a crap performance in the quarter final.

Trust me, in the cold light of day you'll realise this is nothing compared to that.

Wrong, as I told you earlier.

Trust me, yesterday will in the future be seen as a watershed day in the history of the football club, whereas losing to the sh*te is something many of us have gotten used to over the years.

Losing to Liverpool is nothing new, we've had to deal with that countless times.

How often when we have the best chance of making an FA Cup Semi Final do we get absolutely battered by some relegation fodder team on our own patch like we did on Saturday? What makes it even worse is that the players showed no fight or desire either. At least at Wembley against those ****ers they put a bit of effort in.

This.

They hit the post to put the game to bed..
Betfair even use that game for their adverts on telly as it was such an odd result.
But hey.. Lets celebrate this epic result in Everton history over and over again.......

But again, we scored four good goals. So, they hit the post once, big deal. We did well to get a result, played football and thoroughly deserved the point. Betfair clearly used the game for their ad because it was a game where the score changed frequently and it was so unpredictable and exciting. Who's celebrating it???

This.

In what way.

Some people are acting like we were guaranteed to win it if we beat Wigan. Fact is we were already further in the competition when we lost to Liverpool, and there's every chance that if we had beaten Wigan we'd have drawn City or Chelsea/United in the Semi and had to beat the other in the final.

We lost against our biggest rivals at Wembley 45 minutes away from the FA Cup Final, it's absurd to say getting beaten by Wigan at Goodison is a worse defeat. Utterly absurd.

It will be seen as the day the fanbase finally turned against David Moyes IMO.

As to your 2nd point, of course we weren't guaranteed to win it if we had beaten Wigan. But a s/f defeat against City or Utd would have been easier to stomach than getting battered at home by a team in the bottom 3.

Its not absurd though.. We are used to getting beaten by Liverpool and are used to beating the likes of Wigan at Goodison.
You are a fan of Net Spend Etc.. Sound, no problem.. But some of us expect to beat Wigan at home in the cup, but under Moyes and his net spend, punching above his weight, knife to a gunfight etc... this was a shock result
Joe Royle was unbeaten against Liverpool. Net spend though eh !

I think it's more the way in which we got beat yesterday, most have commented that it was one of the

I think it's more the way we got beat yesterday, I think we could all accept defeat if we put up a good fight but the other team were better than us, but yesterday was one of the worst performances I personally have ever witnessed, to just roll over to Wigan hurts a lot

People said that when he came out and talked about his contract mate.

Our fanbase has had Bill Kenwright in charge for 13 years and most still think he's ace. David Moyes will sign a new deal in the Summer and by this time next season people will be back chanting his name again. Not everybody, but enough of a majority to make this incident irrelevant.

We could feasibly be in 5th place by the end of next weekend. Not saying it will happen at all, but i really don't see that many people moaning about Moyes if we are.

He's lost the support of a lot of people who have been his most ardent backers after yesterday, including myself.

Also the numbers leaving the ground at such and early stage combined with the intensity of the booing spoke volumes.

It took a long time to get over what happened at Wembley but yesterday was unforgiveable, and will remain so for me and many others I suspect.
