but anyway that illustrates my point

we bounced back from that semi defeat

if we cant this time then something is obviously wrong

Personally, I think Saturday was just as bad, maybe worse

One game away from Wembley, our rivals, after weeks of build up and tens of thousands of fans travelling to London, compared to a crap performance in the quarter final.

Trust me, in the cold light of day you'll realise this is nothing compared to that.

On the other hand
One game away from Wembley, bummed by relegation candidates, weeks of build up, packed stadium.

Not sure which is worse. Both leave me with the same sh*tey after-taste

35000 mate.

Like i said, eventually you'll look back and wonder how you could ever think losing to Wigan in a quarter final (which we've been in about 30 times in the last 50 years) comes close to getting beaten by the s***e at Wembley after leading at half time.

3 goals in three minutes, usual crowd favourite booed off the pitch, players booed off the pitch twice, captain booed off the pitch, boyhood blue scoring against us, seeing dave whelan's smug little face.

Still not sure which is worse.

Losing to Liverpool is nothing new, we've had to deal with that countless times.

How often when we have the best chance of making an FA Cup Semi Final do we get absolutely battered by some relegation fodder team on our own patch like we did on Saturday? What makes it even worse is that the players showed no fight or desire either. At least at Wembley against those ****ers they put a bit of effort in.

Luck would be what happened to Liverpool earlier. We scored four good goals against them away from home when everybody said we'd get battered.

I really do admire your stance mate..
I totally dont agree, copy and paste BK some of this.. Job for life !

Aye but Liverpool was that familiar "oh for christ sake, again?" sort of pain. Wigan was a new, horrible pain I dont want to get used to ever.

Again, four good goals, they were on form and looking to wrap up the title. Not even United fans said we were lucky. So how were we lucky?

What's worse, losing in the quarter final of a cup against Wigan, or losing in the Semi final ?
What's worse, losing in the quarter final of a cup against Liverpool, or losing in the Semi ?
What's worse in general, losing against Liverpool, or losing against Wigan ?

What's worse, losing a leg or losing an arm? They're both bad in different ways, but equally bad.

Christ that sounds all Karl Pilkington  but that's how I see it.
