what has he done so wrong not to deserve a chance in the first team though?

Its probably got nothing to do with anything he's done right or wrong. Koeman was using him, sparingly I must add, as Sandro had not made an immediate impact (not the end of the world as foreign imports don't always start quickly). Unsworth has frozen him out completely however as he probably doesn't trust him (add Klassen and Vlasic to that as well). If you're an interim manager who has only a few games to stake your claim for the job full time rolling the dice on new and unpredictable signings is very risky, and obviously not a risk Rhino wanted to take.

Further underlines the need for a permanent manager quickly. The playing time of Klassen, Sandro and Vlasic likely won't be improved until we have one.

Couldnt agree more with you there actually, mad that Vlasic has been frozen out though especially as he was one of our best players in the weeks before Koemans departure. Sandro and Klaassen both deserve a chance but like you say, need a permanent manager for this to happen

He has barely had a chance so far. Out of all of our strikers he is the one who has the potential to be the solution up front. Niasse (Loads of effort but not much quality) and Calvert Lewin (Potential but not much end product) are not going to get us double figures this season in my opinion. Give him a chance, he has proved last season that there is a player there.

Niasse will.

It might be just me but I think Sandro has looked worse.

Martina had actually put in a few decent crosses and apart from his first game had actually looked like a professional player.

There's probably guys in the crowd that are better than what Sandro has showed so far.

But it is still early and he does have a good pedigree.

But seriously with Deulofeu and Sandro how did we get the two Barca players you would never trust in a possession based team.

It's been nearly five days since you posted this mate.

Any further thoughts ?

Loads of players take a year to adapt to a new league (Drogba, Ronaldo, Niasse), especially younger ones. For the low fee we paid for Sandro he's worth persevering with. You can see he's got something with the ball at his feet.

One of these things is not like the other ones....not like the other ones....not like the other ones...

But seriously, Sandro did look completely out of his depth. Also, while I actually thought Kone was better than most on here, it should be noted that he scored 15 in 34 in La Liga the year before he went to Wigan.

Considering when he came on we were in full turtle shell mode, thought he looked lively and had a few nice touches.

Put a nice cross in that gilfi couldn't connect.

Also got onto the end of a cross but ended up under it.

The lads confidence is shot to bits and he badly needs a run of games. Unfortunately we are so poo we cannot afford to give him game time to settle.
