He's more effective off the bench it seems.

But would he be happy with just that role?

I still think he is an effective starter of games, just not when he's starting with Lukaku and Barkley or Naismith. I would much rather see him start when Lukaku or Ross need a breather. Or at the very least it worked with Rom up top and Naismith not getting in his way against Burnley as Eto'o and Barkley are the type to want to occupy the same space. In fact, christ knows what I'm saying yep get on the bench Sammy and work your magic from the 75 minute mark.
