Now I don't want to be a killjoy and I love a black magic gag as much as the next man, ask anyone, but Tanzania and Cameroon are two different places.
True, but it happens in South Africa too. I'd be willing to bet it happens in most of sub-Saharan Africa.

Of all the African footballers, Eto'o never struck me as one lying about his age, though its difficult to validate any of their claims.

Just read an ex of his claims he's 39 - he looks bloody good if he really is that old. I doubt she's telling the truth though.

On the other hand Yakubu claims he's only 31, NOT A CHANCE.

We need a song for him.

I've completely come round on this. Was fully against it now I'm fully for it.

Great squad addition!

Eto'o, Eto'o, Eto'o
Eto'o, Eto'o, Eto'oooooo
Eto'o, Eto'o, Eto'o
Eto'oooooo
Eeeeeeto'o

(To the tune of E'ton, E'ton, E'ton)

The truth is, due to the risk/reward possibilities we won't know how this will pan out. Either side of the argument could be proved right.

He may breakdown in training and never get on the pitch. He may come on as a sub, score a few and then push Lukaku or Naismith for their starting jobs.

That's part of what makes him exciting. All that boom or bust potential.

I'm sure we all hope he succeeds, it's just some can see the potential pitfalls.
