Unfortunately signing an ancient, injury prone player is very realistic and plausible for Everton
If this goes ahead, it would certainly show ancelottis clout at the club regarding transfers. I can see brands giving the nod to james and allan as he did sign delph at the end of the day.
However, khedira would be all on Carlos head.
If we got 6/7 good games out of him which helped us pick up points, which ultimately helped to seal a European place then its a good signing. It would also raise our profile slightly and I’d expect his presence would be good in the squad. He was a top top quality player, we’ve just got to hope the medics do their job and he can get fit. Pace is great for the premier league, but quality is too. And the league is poor in my opinion at the moment and very over rated. Seasoned quality could cope for 6 months???

Oooooooooooooh I am not sure clubs would be willing to pay that much for him. Would be great if we could get a full pound for him.

Mate a gamble it is. It may work or it may not. Look at the Peter Ried and Andy Gray scenarios..............they shouldn't have been signed due to fitness and injury problems and not sure but think they did not even pass our medicals. What inspirations and good players they turned out to be. True they don't all work out but if Carlos says yes then who am I to complain.
Yeah the stats will certainly back you up. 2.5 million is nothing though. If Ancelotti thinks we need cover in that position we ain’t gonna go and spend 25 mill in January on someone so maybe from a cost perspective they think it’s worth the gamble
