I am not certain what players Sam included or left out when he mentioned a squad of 33 or with the departure of Aaron Lennon a squad of 32.

Looking at the names above I would guess that players the manager might allow to leave would be :
Robles, Martina, Klaasen, Besic, Sandro and Niasse . I would not be surprised to see Jagielka leave in the summer and maybe even Leighton Baines as well.

To raise funds it could be Funes Mori, Schneiderlin or maybe McCarthy could leave depending on buyer and price.

If you add the players listed in the squad and those in the second list it comes to a number not far short of 40 players.

There will have to be some serious activity to get back to roughly two players per position.

5 new signings, Striker, Creative Midfielder, Left Back & 2 Centre Halves. 25 man squad, reserve goalkeeper & a couple from the u-23's depending on progression. This is what we should be looking at to start next season.

33 is far to many to have in a squad. If you are in the squad you have to have a chance of playing. There are players at Everton who will never play any significant role in the team. If you are in the squad and you have no chance of a game you are a distraction, we have too many of these.
Get the first team squad down to 25 who have an investment in the team and we would be much better of. Hopefully that is what is happening. Unfortunately we have a left back who should not be in the squad playing regularly, once again, hopefully that can be sorted.

Everton have so many culls, surely it’s only a matter of time before they come to the attention of some worldwide anti cull organisation.
Paint a couple of black stripes on their faces and get them to do a cross country in a cull zone. It's the only way to get some of them out of the club. Plus less risk of TB at Goodison.

Seriously though, how many culls/ deadwood clearances can a club have. At Everton it's evidently the same number as there are transfer windows.

Said begining of the season we had FAR to many players in the squad and alot of the backup could of easily been filled by our talented youth.

Got laughed out of town for it

Sell ....Bolasie, McCarthy,Martina,Niasse,Besic,Klaussen,Baines,jags.....

Buy......striker....Lb.....central defender....Dm.....

Surprised by the calls to sell Baines and Jags. You need senior pros around even into their mid-thirties. And it's a massive bonus when they've been here 10+ years. A better idea would be to buy their long-term replacements and have a couple of years overlap before they retire completely.

Jags is 35. For a footballer, that is old. Really old. He should be no more than an option imo.

It's really crazy to think we could lose 10 players and not even notice they are gone.

The problem is that those players, particularly Jagielka, appear to have a negative psychological effect on the rest of the players rather than a positive one. Every player that ends up here seems to turn into a bottling jellyfish, but is it really a surprise when you turn around and see your captain skulking around with his hands on his hips, looking at the floor wearing an expression as if he's comtempling lashing himself off a cliff whenever things start going belly up?
