I reckon he's wanting the pay-out.
Don't be so stupid. We should be looking no further than Mark hughes, John Gregory or Ron Atkinson next.
He's doing and then saying all the wrong things. His press conferences seemed a breath of fresh air. Put it's when the chips are down you see someone's character. We can all act enlightened, charming philosophical when things are going well.
Prays*The journos smell blood, they are obviously becoming increasingly confident in printing " alternative " manger stories and not so subtly labelling the fat mess as a dinosaur - that`s the bit he really doesn`t like.
Maybe just maybe someone at the club has been given the green light to start briefing against him.
Hopefully this is the beginning of the end for him.
I saw that Sam said the performance first half suggested that he and his coaching side aren't doing their jobs properly. I think it's fair to say that they aren't. The team were utterly confused on Saturday. They didn't know when to press, when they shouldn't. They didn't know where should be or which opposition to take up.
Sam may well say "well they did in training on Friday" but they clearly didn't. And its his job to see that they didn't understand or hadn't had sufficient time to hone the required skills for his system.
A couple of quick examples from the other night:
This is the first goal. Look at that back line. We all know, that's meant to be a straight line. Why Mangala has allowed Ramsey to pull him out of his position, I have no idea. As soon as Ozil has cut inside, Martina needs to break his neck to return to the defensive line. Basics: don't defend where you can't be hurt. Fall back in, with Mangala, and the gap isn't there for Mkhi' to run in to. Gueye should be goalside of Ramsey - or at least closer with an eye on him - and Bolasie has to go with Ozil (hardly well known for his blistering pace) and at least make it difficult for him.

If you want to see the most disorganised defence you'll like see at the Emirates this season, look at this:

Why Ashley Williams and Kenny haven't stepped out and kept in a line, I have no idea. Keane has initiated the press (as he should). Mangala is now facing his goal when he should be facing out (as a result of him being drawn out by Ramsey). Schneiderlin is only now applying pressure and Martina can now quite clearly see he is too late to stop Mkhi'. An utter shambles.
Last still on this bizarre episode:

Every single Everton player the wrong side of the ball, all looking at the ball, with just 2 arsenal attackers vs 5 (discounting Monreal). No-one has a clue where Ramsey is even though he's the most likely person for Arsenal to aim at. They are all in utter desperation mode from 2 passes. One into Aubamayang and one from Mkhi'. Sam's right. Pathetic. Thing is, unfortunately he is the cause of it all.
This one doesn't even end in a goal:

The ball has just been lost by Bolasie. It happens.
What is Martina doing? What is Mangala doing? Why is it impossible to detect which one the wing back is and which one the CB is?
Finally, what in God's name is Ashley Williams doing that deep when, up until a few second ago we had the ball? A shambles.
Now, this isn't a Martinez team that according to most couldn't defend. This is a Sam Allardyce team. We as fans are supposed to have given up attacking flair (what little we had) for survival and defensive solidarity. Yeah. Right.
So that's one where we are entrenched with Arsenal in possession (example 1 above). That's one, just above, where we have just lost the ball. Let's have one final one where Arsenal are in their half but the build up is slower:

Without the ball, it's meant to be 5 at the back. Again, seemingly everyone knows this apart from JonJoe Kenny. Now, i'm not criticising the lad for making a mistake and not realising the chasm of space he's left behind him in pressing the ball when Theo is there and Mkhi has gone on the blind side. No, instead i'm merely using this as an example that the players have no idea what they are doing. And that's Sam's fault. Again, whether this was all fine 24 hours earlier is irrelevant. They were not ready to play this system. Why Schneiderlin isn't reading the game I have no idea but within 4 seconds we have:

Kenny is in no-man's land. Schneiderlin AND Gueye are wrong side of the ball. The gap between Williams (who seemingly has no idea where Aubamayang is) and Keane is an eye-bleeder. Bar Keane, our entire back line is facing our goal which is a sign of, again, desperation. And you've got 3 Arsenal midfielders lined up between the 'lines' (or poor imitations of them) ready to pounce.
I repeat, a shambles. And the above, a jarg MNF impression which took me seconds to put together using screen shots and MS Paint, were just a few of many examples in the first half where Sam Allardyce sent us out like lambs to the slaughter.
Forget the players making him look like he's not doing his job properly. It's quite clear he isn't.
Apologies for the above which will probably take much of a page. Couldn't reduce the size of the pics without them going fuzzy.
Cheers
Mk
Yep. Fat Sam gets paid out and then next season he'll be at some other club trying to 'save them'.I reckon he's wanting the pay-out.
