Anyone with a pair of eyes could see that he wasn’t just finished as a top flight footballer, but that he was also so unfit, it would take months and months, just to get him to the point of being able to keep up with the game.
The only logical answer to his signing, is that Benitez had some kind of vested financial interest in him signing, as I genuinely can’t think of any other reason for his signing.
